Pottery Express in Punta Gorda – Beautiful Hand Crafted Exotic Pottery

Take a ride out Burnt Store road and find some of the most beautiful exotic pottery from all over the world!

With a variety of pottery for every like.

Talavera Pottery – Mexican Clay Pottery – Asian Pottery  – Folk Art  – Americas Mart

Here’s some information on just one of the types you will find!

The Talavera Pottery you see here are works of art handcrafted by master artisans using techniques that have been passed down generation to generation since the 16th century.

The Talavera ceramic pottery you see here is produced in the Mexican state of Puebla, and Dolores Hidalgo.

Each piece is hand molded and fired in gas kilns for over a week.

After the initial firing the artisans you see pictured begin to glaze and paint and the ceramics begin to resemble the works of art you see here.

These age old techniques, vibrant colors, and delicate attention to detail produce unique one of a kind pieces that are truly works of art.

After being painted and glazed the ceramics are fired again for about 10 days at high temperatures giving them excellent durability.

Each piece from start to finish takes about a month to produce.

Enjoy the knowledge that you are buying a work of art that is not mass produced in China, but the product of highly skilled artisans who take pride in their work, using techniques passed down from previous generations.

We are having difficulty finding your place of business. We will be coming across the bridge from North Ft. Myers to North Ft. Myers on 41. Can you tell me where we go to get to your business after crossing the river?

    Hi,

There should be a map on the page…and at the bottom of the map you can click on directions which will map you directly to the business.
You can also use the + – on the map to see the location – looks like from Fort Myers you take 41N all the way to Zemel rd (on your left) and take it straight to the business a few miles down Zemel on the right side.

Just wanted to say I was there yesterday for the first time, I feel in love with this place so much to see and do. Love the gardens of bamboo trees. The pottery is beautiful. And the people that work there were very nice. Sheila
