Spring Ayurveda and Yoga Series:Balancing Kapha @ The Yoga Sanctuary
Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, means to know (veda) life (ayur). The practice of Ayurveda is a way of living in tune with the nature that surrounds us, and in tune with our own true nature, in order to maintain a healthy body and mind. In Ayurveda all things in nature are made up of a mix of three doshas – vata, pitta, and kapha. Kapha dosha often becomes elevated in the late winter and spring, materializing as a lack of energy, a feeling of heaviness, allergies, and congestion in the lungs. Each session in this series will include a discussion on Ayurvedic techniques for maintaining wellness, followed by an energizing kapha-balancing yoga practice. For more information visit www.theyogsanctuary.biz or call 941.505.YOGA(9642).
